A Message from Principal Mary Sepler, Sept. 6th 2019

Dear Lowell Families,

Welcome back to school! It’s been wonderful to re-establish learning partnerships with our returning families and to welcome many new people into our community.

One of the great things about the location of our school is that it’s embedded in a neighborhood. Many parents and kids stay after school to play on the playground and build connections.  We think this is great but remind you that school personnel are not supervising playground activity after dismissal.   It is not an acceptable go-home plan to tell your student to go and play on the playground until you get here.  If you wish to have your child stay and play right after school, please be here to meet them at dismissal.   Thanks, so much for your support in keeping this time of day safe for all students.

The Executive Committee of our PTA met this week and has exciting plans for the coming school year.  Please join us on Wednesday, September 11, for a family Potluck dinner!  Bring a main course, salad, side dish, or dessert to share and come to the Lowell Commons at 6:30PM!  A short parent meeting will follow dinner from 7:15PM-8PM.  Childcare (up to 25 children ages 5 and older) will be provided by the YMCA from 6:30PM-8PM.  We would love to see you there!

It’s my plan this year to send these newsletters on Fridays.  I’m also hoping to include a link to the PTA outreach letter so you can access all the information in one place. Stay tuned for that!

That’s all for now, please make note of the important dates below:
