About Our School

Welcome to Lowell Elementary School!

We value the stories and cultures of our students, families, staff, and community members.

We are principled, caring, and reflective thinkers who collaborate through inquiry.

Our goal is to become agents of our own learning and gain the skills to be compassionate, engaged, global citizens.

Lowell School 1915

History

Lowell School in Bellingham, Washington is a community of about 80,000 people located 90 miles north of Seattle and approximately 20 miles south of the Canadian border. Our school, built in 1914, stands on Sehome Hill overlooking Bellingham Bay and the San Juan Islands. The views from our classroom windows are spectacular.

 Lowell School Song

(Sung to the tune of “It’s A Grand Old Flag”)

We’re a grand old school
We’re a great thinking school
We’re the best in the west
We all say.

Here the kids are smart
And we do our part
We’re loyal to you everyday.

We work hard to learn
And we try to earn
Respect and pride each day.

‘Cause we’re the school
That’s by the bay
And we’ll all do our
Best today!”
